Two versions available

mart Box comes in two versions — Base and Pro — each designed to adapt to different professional needs.

• Smart Box Base
Acts as a central communication hub, managing the vehicle’s connectivity.
It collects and transmits data from sensors, CAN Bus, and other onboard systems to your Android smartphone or tablet via a simple USB-C connection.
The app on the paired device then processes, displays, and sends this information to your fleet server in real time.

• Smart Box Pro
Goes beyond data transfer — it includes a built-in Android module that lets you run your own applications directly on the device.
The smartphone or tablet becomes a control and monitoring terminal, while Smart Box handles GPS tracking, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 4G LTE connectivity.

Both versions are fully compatible with the Digitax SDK, giving developers complete freedom to integrate, customize, and scale advanced automotive and telematics solutions.

Designed for professional automotive applications

Smart Box is engineered for professional and commercial vehicles that require constant control, data access, and remote management.
It serves both as an interface module and as a black box, providing full visibility over vehicle status, driver activity, and onboard systems.

Ideal for:

  • Public transport and fleet vehicles (buses, taxis, service fleets)

  • Heavy-duty and logistics vehicles (trucks, garbage collection)

  • Special vehicles (school buses, ambulances, emergency units)

Whether used for fleet tracking, maintenance monitoring, or safety management, Smart Box ensures real-time data collection and reliable communication between the vehicle and the control center.

*Pro Version supports integration with the Digitax Device Track platform for full fleet supervision

Direct connectivity with the vehicle

Smart Box connects directly to the vehicle’s control unit and onboard peripherals, enabling precise, real-time monitoring of system status and performance.
This direct integration allows immediate access to key vehicle data — from speed and engine status to diagnostics and telematics information.

When needed, Smart Box can also communicate via CAN Bus, supporting multiple automotive protocols, including:

  • FMS (Fleet Management System)

  • J1939

  • OBDII

  • ISO-11992

This flexibility makes it compatible with a wide range of vehicles and ensures seamless communication between the Smart Box, the vehicle’s ECU, and your Android applications.
